I’ve said it before, but I love that my job brings me together with people I went to school with and their siblings. I knew Vikki when she was just a small girl and now I get to document one of the most important times of her life. I love seeing people happy and these two are SO happy together. Jerret and Vikki are incredibly comfortable with each other and they were able to let me in right away to see it, which is rare. They’re the kind of couple that ignite a spark in you when you’re photographing them and make you remember why you love your job so much. I’m so grateful and I can’t wait for their August wedding!
Originally, the plan was to head to Crystal Crescent Beach for some sunny, golden hour photos. Five minutes outside of Halifax the fog hit hard and it started raining so I rushed all the way back to the city to meet them at Long Lake hoping we could still catch some of that sunlight. Unfortunately (but also fortunately) the fog followed me back. Thankfully, these two were good sports and the fog ended up being pretty magical.
